Turbo-converted base model ECU • From $80 USD

BoostReady Patch for base model turbo conversions.

A dedicated EvoPro patch for turbo-converted Mitsubishi base model vehicles still running the original non-turbo ECU. It upgrades the real referenced load calculation and load-axis behavior needed for boost-aware fueling, timing, VE, MIVEC, and cylinder fuel trim work.

This patch is for working turbo-converted base model vehicles with the original base model ECU. It is not a cheap substitute for an XML definition, and it is not meant to fix existing mechanical, wiring, sensor, or tuning problems.

Why this patch exists

Keeping the base model ECU can be the smart move, but the stock non-turbo load ceiling becomes the problem.

Keep the base ECU

For many base model turbo builds, staying on the original non-turbo ECU is advised when the tune has the correct injector parameters, MAF and airflow scaling, open-loop and closed-loop configuration, and base timing control.

Fix the boost-load problem

A turbocharged setup does not make much sense when the calibration is still trapped around the original 100% load range. BoostReady upgrades the real load calculation and referenced axes so boost areas can be tuned properly.

Built for real XML workflows

This is for people already working with a proper XML. If your XML was created by searching bytes in HxD instead of using Ghidra, IDA Pro, or validated references, the axis locations may be wrong.

Three new MAP-based load calculation tables

BoostReady adds load calculation support to the non-turbo binary for turbocharged operation.

MAP Based Load Calc #1

Hot / interpolated load calculation table for boost-aware operating conditions.

MAP Based Load Calc #2

Cold / interpolated load calculation table for temperature-sensitive boost/load behavior.

MAP Based Load Calc #3

Additional MAP-based load calculation table used to support the upgraded load model.

What it changes

This patch is about correct load and airmass calculation when the engine reaches boost. The goal is cleaner calculated load, better referenced load-axis usage, and easier fuel delivery setup for turbo-converted base model vehicles.

Customer requirements

Please confirm these before purchasing. This patch is not for every car.

Required vehicle setup

  • Base Model ECU
  • Turbo-converted base model vehicle
  • 3 Bar or 4 Bar MAP sensor
  • OEM Base Model intake manifold
  • No current mechanical, wiring, sensor, or tune faults

Important limits

  • Do not upgrade to Evo X / Ralliart intake manifold for this workflow; this avoids the IAT-related mismatch.
  • This patch does not fix a bad tune. It upgrades load calculation and MAP/load axis behavior.
  • You should already have injector parameters, MAF scaling, airflow scaling, fuel configuration, and base timing maps handled.
  • You should already have a valid XML, or purchase the patch + XML upgrade service.

Not an XML shortcut

If you already have a properly referenced XML, the $80 service covers the BoostReady patch. If you want the patch plus the upgraded tables and axes defined inside your XML because you are not sure your XML is correct, choose the $200 service.
